As a single Daddy with 3 children, I know very well about of cost of life, so, I will do my best to help you, here my suggestions to enjoy Tortuguero with an small budget or with a good budget.

Explore Tortuguero village Attractions by walking

* Up to you or 2 hours easy walk on accessible concrete path

Distance: 1k plus 500 meters of neighbourhood.

* Visit STC (Sea Turtle conservancy station and museum)

Distance: 600 meters from the School (path to Airport)

Open: 10am till 4pm

It is a self guided Mini museum, then you watch 15 minutes video of

Tortuguero history and of the pionner conservationist that change

the local mentality to conservention ($3 donation) and the how was that possible.

Beach time, the beach is open from 6am to 6pm (to protect the turtles)

Get ready create an account using email, create pass code, go to buy, click reservation online, scroll down, pick Parque Nacional Tortuguero - Sector Canales, scroll down, change entry date pick you date, wait the page slow, scroll down, on Foreign Admission enter the amount of adults and children, scroll down click on the box on the left side corner down, click continue, stop, please check careful if all info entered is correct specially on the national park sector (to visit) , then scroll down you have 12 minutes to enter the requested info and pay, go ahead enter full names, passport numbers, input a * before the passport number when child, click on the residence box and change nationality, enter the card, scroll down click on I am not a robot box, click continuo, stop, check carefull all the info entere, click on confirm the payment. congratulations, well done you made it.

time frame will be by default (6am to 3pm) take SECTOR CANALES when do canoe or kayak excursions and the Jaguar trail, or take SECTOR CERRO when Visit Hill Hike time frame will be by default (8am to 3pm)

National Park it is never closed.
